Who Are We?

The J Café is a student-run coffee shop within the School of Business, owned the the UBC. The Café is entirely student-led, providing business students with experiential learning. This includes making purchasing decisions, hiring and training employees, and learning to work in a customer-facing environment.

​The​ proceeds of the J Café are used to fund UBC member organizations and promote student involvement via the Undergraduate Business Council.

J Café Structure

The J Café has three managers.
  • General Manager oversees the operation of the J-Café in close contact with the advisor and the director.
  • Personnel Manager who is in charge of hiring and scheduling baristas.
  • Operations Manger who is in charge of buying merchandise and keeping inventory.
​One Marketing Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns that elevated the J Café and its mission.
