Business Career Services (BCS), in collaboration with the Undergraduate Business Council (UBC), is seeking to form a Student Advisory Council. Representatives of the BCS Student Advisory Council will meet periodically as a group with members of the BCS staff to provide feedback and ideas regarding career programming and resources.
Participation will involve, but is not limited to:
Represent the student perspective at BCS Employer Advisory Council meetings
Participate in periodic BCS staff meetings
Assist in the selection process for BCS hiring needs
Promote BCS resources and services to fellow students
Provide feedback loop to BCS
Assist in the evaluation and assessment of vendor resources
Provide insights on employers of choice not represented on campus
Must have completed three full semesters at KU before time of service
Seeking at least one undergraduate representative from each of the academic areas
Seeking representation from a member of MBSP
Seeking representation from a transfer student (three semesters at KU not required)
One year commitment
Seeking a balance of representation from the UBC member organizations and from outside of the UBC
We plan to pilot this program in the Spring 2020 semester. Please note that this is a voluntary position/commitment.
