About ePoints and the ePlatformThe ePlatform is the School of Business initiative to encourage involvement among students. Clubs can request their events to be submitted for ePoints. Depending on the event type, differnt amounts of ePoints will be given. Students can find ePoint events in the app, which is helpful to reach more people!
Students must complete 200 ePoints by the end of their junior year in order to enroll in BUS 410. |
Have Epoints for your Event!
If you want to submit your event for ePoints, you can do it through the Suitable platform website. Below you can find a step by step guide to requesting ePoints.
Login into Suitable:
- Open the Suitable website (not yet able to request ePoints through the app)
- Enter your default KU email address (Your default email address will be your KU-Online-ID @ ku.edu.)
- Press continue and enter your password to log in.
Add the ePoints logo to your advertising so students know they'll get ePoints for attending!
Guidelines to submitting events:
- Activities may be considered for ePoints if they involve demonstrable professional development. Guest speakers are okay, but workshops, conferences, etc. are better. Funding assistance may or may not be available for activities.
- Activities will not be considered for ePoints if they are simple club meetings, lunches, “for fun” events, etc. The purpose of engagement with Suitable is to bolster resumes and enhance the extracurricular involvement and education of our students.
- Events must be open to everyone. Closed or invitation-only events are unlikely to be accepted.
FAQ For Clubs
Can students earn the 50 points for being an involved member of a club more than once?
No – like any other activity, students can only earn credit for this once. Keep in mind that those 50 points are 25% of a student’s entire graduation requirement, and if they’re involved in multiple clubs, they can still potentially reach the requirement through clubs alone. The 50 point activity should require a demonstration of commitment and involvement over the period of a semester/full academic year. Happy to workshop if need be.
How do clubs interact with ePoints again?

How do clubs interact with ePoints again?
Two ways:
- You can create your events in Suitable under the “Community Involvement – No Points” competency. This allows students to track your events, RSVP to them, and for you to pull attendance/reflection data, but will not add to a student’s required point total (i.e. those competencies listed under the “Lift” badge).
- Then, each club (I’m using the term “club” loosely here – this also goes for organizations like UBC, DSP, etc.) should have a 50-point activity under the “Student Leadership & Engagement” competency, which DOES count toward the graduation requirement. As mentioned above, this should require an attendance component over a period of a semester/year as well as involvement beyond just showing up.
