The Executive Board of the Undergraduate Business Council oversees the UBC and its goals. The UBC works together throughout the school to develop projects and advocate for students.

- Be free on Monday at 5:20 pm for weekly exec meetings and 6:30 for special events (e.g. Committees and General Assembly)
- Be able to participate throughout the 2024-2025 school year (year long position)
- Be present during voting meeting to give 2 minute speech

Preside over UBC meetings and maintain relations with organizational presidents, faculty, administration, and those outside the School of Business. Leads most UBC meetings and develops goals for UBC legacy. * Previous UBC expirience required |
Vice President |
Maintain internal relations within the UBC including committees and member involvement. Works closely with the president to strategize UBC goals, day-to-day execution, and organizational structure.= |
Director of Outreach |
Serve as a liaison between the UBC and its constituents, including member organizations, general members, all other interested students, and the community at large. Act as a voice for the member clubs in executive board meetings. |
Director of Funding |
Manage all aspects of fund distribution to clubs in the form of general allocation, special event, and travel expense requests. Also helps maintain good club relationships. |
Director of Marketing |
Maintain the website and social media pages. Lead the promotion of all UBC events and activities. Work closely with UBC team to find how to best communicate UBC information. |
Director of Events |
Lead in the creation, planning, and execution of all UBC events such as Night Out with The Leaders, tabling and recruitment. Maintains a close relationship with event staff and administration in the KU Business School. |

What is the exec board election process?
Elections will be held in person during General Assembly. We will move through this process in order of the positions listed, starting with President, VP, etc. After the discussion, there will be a voting form administered by UBC and the winner of each position will be announced immediately following the vote.

- Have all individuals running for the position leave the room.
- Applicant gives 2 minute pitch about why you are good fit for this position.
- Receive and answer one question from previous executive member.
- Applicants exits the room.
- Closed conversation regarding strengths and concerns of candidate will occur.
- Voting (unless uncontested).
- Announcement of winner.
What is the committee chair interview process?
For applicants interested in being a committee chair, the selection process for the position will be through an interview held the executive team. Details about interviewing times will be communicated to applicants after the sign-up deadline. After all interviews are completed, the executive board will discuss and one person will be selected to fill the position which will be communicated to applicants.
How can I learn more about a position?
We highly encourage applicants to talk with the current position holder about their role and their day-to-day tasks. Some positions have a learning curve and it might be beneficial. Find their emails under the role descriptions in the webpages about the current members.
